Quick post to say... I'm dying to see what's in the kiln!
I made really cool stuff yesterday (I hope) and I want to know if it turned out ok. I had to leave the house in a hurry this morning, so I didn't get a chance to look, but I'm DYING to!!!!!
(told you it was quick)

to blog or not to blog... that is the question.
Before you get excited, this isn't a post about pulling the blog! It's just one to say that today is a holiday...sort of.... it's a 3 day weekend and I'm taking the day off from any sort of work and just having a "me" day.
SO... regularly scheduled blogging will return on Monday.
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!!!!!
tiny blah blah blah...
music - Pandora. I'm finding lots of new bands to add to the ipod
coffee - later. for now it's iced tea. It's HOT outside!

Beadmakers,
Some days... no matter how hard you try, no matter how hard you WANT to, no matter how much experience you have....
things just don't happen the way you want them to at the torch.
It's not just YOU... it's all of us. It's frustrating as all get out... but it's just a normal part of beadmaking (which is why I'm writing about it). It's easy to think that you're the only person that goes through this... the day when you can't even get a base-bead down without things going wrong. You're not.
I have days where all I make is like 6 pink base beads pitted with bubbles and cracked up bead release (almost all my beads start with a pale pink base, that's why they all look alike when I toss them into the water bath!) After about 3 of them, I know it's going to be one of those days... but yet, I force myself to endure about 3 more horrible beads until I say "ENOUGH!!!"
Today was an "ENOUGH!" day. I did get a few beads made, but not anywhere near as many as I should have for how long I tried to make things work. It was just not meant to be today.... but that's my point. Some days are just not for beadmakin'.
This was one of them.
tiny blah blah blah...
